Data Analysis Page

This page explains how to use the Data Analysis Page of SkyControl.

Overview

The data analysis tab is a tool to analyse all SKYMATE™ data. It is composed of 4 principal areas.

Communication Bandwidth Area

The communication bandwidth area is located at the top left corner. It displays communication statistics on the transmitted (TX) Byte per second (B/s) and received (RX) Byte per second (B/s).

Message List Area

The message definitions can be found here.

The message list displays all the available messages received by the Telemetry. The messages are listed by message ID, but you can search them by name, in the search box. You can register to a message by clicking on the selection box. This will open up a list of all the data composing the message. Once you select a message, the refresh rate will be displayed on the right of the message name.

You can select any amount of data to be displayed in the real-time graphic interface by clicking the icon Graph on the right side of the data name.

Real-Time Graphic Interface Area

The real-time graphic interface is a tool to display data. You can select any number of messages to display. Each message will have a different colour. To change the colour of a message, you just have to deselect/select it, until the desired colour is displayed.

The graphic is by default on the Multi Scale mode. You can change this by using the Single Scale icon.

The graphic can be stopped at any time by pressing the Pause icon and you can resume it by pressing the Resume icon.

Message Interface Area

The bottom part of the data analysis tab displays the message information generated by SKYMATE™. There are 3 types of messages :

  • Info : Message displayed in white, giving general information on SKYMATE™ status and behavior
  • Warning : Message displayed in orange, warning the user of unexpected behavior
  • Error : Message displayed in red, indicating an erroneous behavior.

A comprehensive list of messages, their sources and proposed solutions is given here.
